Well, this year has been a teacher. I mostly taught how fragile life is and how quickly things change. A couple of people I know passed away and some had irrecoverable health issues. Those made me realize I am not here to stay forever and should contribute to the world. I also started to care of myself more and started seeing doctors when I had health issues. I used to ignore them and now I believe some of my body parts are suffering its consequences. The other day, another thing hit me. Life has been going pretty good lately. My relationship with family and friends were good, I made more contributions to Microsoft’s TorchGeo repo, my project for TUBITAK was approved, my classes got more into the actual practice sides so I was excited, and way more good news. The school even called and congratulate me for the project and wanted a picture of mine for their site. Though now, the university announced that they were increasing the tuition fee by 100%. I talked to the head of our department -I also intern for him- and he said he was going to look into it. I honestly don’t expect much since he said he doesn’t really have a say on such matters but at the very least, I gave it a shot. I am going to look for ways to cover my tuition and I hope will find one.
